• Bubbling or wrinkling under the membrane — indicates moisture trapped beneath the roof surface, usually from a seam failure. Left unaddressed, this becomes delamination of the sidewall or ceiling panels.

How We Diagnose and Repair RV Roof Problems

Every roof call starts with a full walk-the-roof inspection — not a drive-by glance. We document every seam, penetration, and vent with photos before we start any work, so you can see exactly what we found and where.

For active leaks, we locate the entry point (which is often several feet away from where the water shows up inside), clean the area, and apply the appropriate repair: Eternabond tape for failed seams, Dicor self-leveling sealant for vents and curbs, or Proflex RV sealant for irregular surfaces. We do not just caulk over existing sealant — we remove the old material first so the new bond has clean contact with the membrane.

For full recoats, we clean the entire EPDM surface with a rubber roof cleaner, inspect for any areas needing tape overlay, then apply 2-3 coats of a UV-blocking roof coating such as Liquid Roof or Dicor EPDM coating. The result extends membrane life by 4-6 years in Florida conditions.
